LMHC Senior Therapist

“I have to say, I struck gold with therapist Toni [now named Harper]! So smart, that instant feeling of “there’s nothing I can’t say in here”… feel utterly safe and supported with tools to carry through the week and life in general. Wise beyond their years. Cannot thank them enough, so if you see this… thank you, [Harper]!!”

I am dedicated to establishing a therapeutic space that feels safe, secure, and welcoming from the moment you enter our comfortable and serene office, or join me online. We will collaborate to identify the areas where you’re struggling and develop a personalized treatment plan catered to your needs. I work well with professionals and college students managing symptoms of anxiety, depression, OCD, perfectionism, and relationship issues.

As a queer-identified therapist, I also help LGBTQIA+ folks coping with poor body image, low self-esteem, and issues related to sexuality who’ve perhaps struggled to find affirming and non-pathologizing therapists who can identify with their unique experiences. In our sessions, I deeply empathize and authentically validate your experience while you learn mindfulness-based skills to quiet your inner critic and develop self-love and acceptance.

Through a values-driven lens, all my clients learn to make meaningful behavioral changes that improve their relationships, decision-making, and overall quality of life.

I have a compassionate, no-nonsense approach when introducing therapeutic techniques that encourage you to dig deep and come face-to-face with your authentic self.

While this may introduce discomfort, I am confident in our ability to cultivate a therapeutic relationship and provide you with tools to help you embrace and manage these complex emotions.

Education and experience…

Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a researcher in the pharmaceutical industry, led by my interest in the impact of psychotropic medications on mental illness. After four years in the lab, I decided to become a therapist to help individuals in need in a more hands-on way.

My interest in research has recently led me independently to review exciting new studies that support psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. This has encouraged me to seek training in this emerging modality, which is an excellent way to combine my careers.

I am also trained and have clinical experience in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based Therapy, and Harm Reduction Therapy.

I earned my MA in Mental Health Counseling from New York University and a BS in Psychology with a Minor in English from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

My areas of interest include identity-related issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, shame, guilt, and interpersonal relationships.

No topic is off the table.

Don’t let self-doubt, shame, guilt, or negative self-talk keep you from sharing your authentic self.

I can’t wait to get to know you.
