Katie S20 900x1200 Working Together…

When you’re constantly battling intrusive thoughts, carrying unresolved grief, or struggling to set boundaries in relationships, self-doubt and emotional overwhelm take over. We’ll work together to unpack what’s holding you back and build a path forward. You’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.

My clients are high-achieving professionals and college students seeking relief from debilitating OCD, anxiety, grief and depression. I use mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD to help you break free from rigid thought patterns and reconnect with what truly matters to you.

Therapy with me is practical and personalized—we focus on real tools and behavioral interventions that help you manage stress, calm your nervous system, and feel more in control.

As a queer-identified New Yorker, I also specialize in providing LGBTQ+ affirming care, emphasizing the importance of feeling safe and implicitly understood in therapy. No topic is off the table; I offer a space where we will explore whatever is on your mind without fear of judgment. Over time, my clients successfully implement therapeutic insights into actions that improve their quality of life.

I enjoy working collaboratively with my clients. You are in the driver’s seat, and I’m in the passenger seat, helping you get to your destination. Working together, I will support you every step of the way to enhance your mental well-being and reach your full potential.

Education and Experience…

I earned my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. John’s University, where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Before joining Sentient, I worked with adults and children navigating anxiety and depression at Balance Mental Health, where I also specialized in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

As an undergraduate at the University of Tampa, I was an active member of the Pride Organization, advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives and gender-affirming access across campus. This experience further shaped my commitment to providing inclusive, affirming care for LGBTQ+ individuals and creating spaces where all clients feel safe, understood, and empowered.

Therapy isn’t just about coping

It’s about creating a life that feels more aligned, fulfilling and freeing.
