We will collaborate to better understand how intrusive and negative thought patterns may be pushing you away from your most authentic self and preventing you from making the positive changes you seek.
Whether you’re coping with the effects of discrimination, family, work or college-related stress, we will, together, create a safe and compassionate space to explore the roots of your troubles, reclaim your life’s purpose, and empower you to get unstuck.
As an international therapist-in-training from various Asian cultures of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China, I have learned the difficulties of identifying as a ‘third’ culture and the way each culture holds its nuances.
Relocating from Irvine, CA, to Chicago and lastly, to New York City, I understand the complex feelings of being far away from home and the trepidation of adapting
to a new lifestyle. I also know firsthand the importance of developing the strength and resilience it takes to keep going.
Through a multicultural lens, I work well with professionals and college students who are struggling with balancing responsibilities, overwhelming career transitions, anxiety, depression, stress, disordered eating, perfectionism, OCD, and relationship and identity issues.
Therapeutically, I use integrative psychodynamic therapy, CBT, Acceptance and
Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness to support and empathize with your experiences while you learn practical skills to rediscover resiliency and identify values close to your heart.
I offer in-person and online therapy in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
