“The therapist under the supervision of Dr. Ripplinger was able to help me process some of the things I needed help with.”

Vanesa Treers 900x1200 B10 C10Working together…

When life feels like a constant balancing act between work, parenting, relationships, and expectations, it’s easy to feel stretched thin, stuck, or overwhelmed. Many of my clients come in feeling like they’re doing everything “right” but still struggling to find peace or meaning in their day-to-day lives.

I specialize in helping high-achievers struggling with stress, anxiety, insomnia and depression. Many of my clients are facing the isolation of intense professional pressure; others are dealing with trauma, parenting stress, family conflict, or the emotional toll of ADHD. Together, we make space for both immediate relief and long-term growth so you can feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself.

My approach is collaborative and tailored to each person I work with. I draw from evidence-based practices including CBT, solution-focused, person-centered and relational approaches. You can expect sessions to be warm, supportive, and attuned to your pace – offering both structure and room for deeper reflection.

As a bilingual therapist (English/Spanish) with lived experience across Latin America, the UK, and the U.S., I bring a global lens to identity, transition, and belonging. I’m especially passionate about supporting people navigating cultural complexity, immigration, and intergenerational dynamics.

Therapy with me is practical and humanistic. Whether you need tools to manage symptoms or space to better understand your story, I’m here to walk alongside you with care, curiosity, and respect for your lived experience.

Education and Experience…

I bring a multicultural background and deep interpersonal experience to my work as a therapist. Before joining Sentient, I worked internationally in development management and nonprofit leadership, where I supported individuals and communities navigating stress, adaptation, and systemic challenges.

As a parent of two teenagers, I understand firsthand the emotional realities of family life, work-life balance, and the many roles we carry. This perspective helps me meet clients with empathy and flexibility, especially around parenting and relationship issues.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a postgraduate degree in Development Management, and I’m currently finalizing my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. I am a Sentient Resident Therapist under the direct supervision of our founder, Joy Ripplinger, LMHC-D.

When life feels unmanageable, therapy can be a turning point. Let’s talk.
