Managing stress and anxiety while navigating queerness, non-monogamy, parenting, or a nontraditional family structure can feel isolating. You deserve a judgment-free, trauma-informed space that recognizes how identity, relationships, and societal systems shape your experience.
I work with individuals and couples searching for ways to change unhelpful patterns and find true self-acceptance. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. Drawing from attachment-focused, somatic, feminist, and psychodynamic therapies, we’ll explore both the roots of your struggles and the practical changes that help you feel more grounded, connected, and at ease.
As a non-binary lesbian, I provide an affirming space for LGBTQ+ and non-traditional couples. I recognize the frustrations in finding a therapist who understands relationship structures outside of conventional heteronormativity. I offer a deep understanding of the dynamics within non-monogamy and non-traditional family units. I help couples struggling with communication, trust, parenting difficulties, and life transitions.
My previous career in teaching and attachment research gives me a unique attachment-focused lens helpful in recognizing the impact of personal history, and my deep-rooted experience in dance and movement also guides my therapeutic work with an emphasis on mind-body connection.
Education and Experience…
I hold a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College, and an undergraduate degree in Dance and Psychology from Barnard College at Columbia University. During my undergraduate experience, I pursued research at the Depression and Anxiety Center at Mount Sinai and Dr. Katherine Thorson’s Social Interaction Lab.
Before joining Sentient Psychotherapy, I provided individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults at Jamron Counseling. Earlier in my career, I worked as an early childhood educator and preschool teacher, where my fascination with developmental psychology and the lasting impact of early attachment relationships ultimately led me to become a therapist.
Outside of counseling, I continue to pursue a freelance career in education, dance, and creative performance. I hold a RYT-200 yoga certification, am a ballet teacher to toddlers and young children and a teaching assistant in Barnard College’s psychology department.
